Super Valu Cooking All Stars
In 2018- 2019, 3rd and 4th class students took part in the Super Valu Cooking All Stars Programme. Under the supervision of their class teacher and SNA, they were afforded the opportunity to create and taste some delicious recipes, including quesadillas, granola, scrambled egg and fried aubergine.
The children became familiar and confident with health and safety procedures along with the processes and procedures necessary when working with food and cooking.
They also learned about the nutritional value of food along with the importance of a balanced and healthy diet and how this contributes to our overall wellbeing both physically and mentally.
